Both film and dance, Hopscotch by the Rabbit Hole Collective is the act of transferring from one surface to another. It is proposed as a game for the spectator. Be active while being passive. Place things in order, then rearrange them. Displace a body, allow it to adapt. See the same thing again, shift the context, and time will follow. Why accept the effect of gravity on the body, the role of a spectator as inactive, the function of time among events, or the effect of words on a recurring action? Maybe there is a certain wisdom in remaining confused…

The scenography consists of a mobile house with a distorted perspective, where the walls can be opened for film projections. The walls support dancers’ weight to demonstrate the gravity based on the choreographic game.

The lighting design is very minimal yet sometimes theatrical to make smooth connections between physical dance movements and virtual film projections.
